In our production we have used relevant technical skills such as:
  • Holding a shot steady, where appropriate.
  • Framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate.
  • Using a variety of shot distances, angles etc. as appropriate.
  • Shooting material appropriate to the task set.
  • Selecting mise-en-scene including colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting.
  • Editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer.
  • Using varied shot transitions and other effects selectively and appropriately.
  • Using sounds with images and editing appropriately.

Filming

Yesterday we filmed our production, it went extremely well and we were half an hour in front of schedule. The actors followed the directors instructions well which made this helpful for the camera man and the crew, the result of this was that we only had minimal takes and this will help the editor today. We all worked well as a team and had set roles which made the production go smoothly as we all knew what each of us were doing.

Today we are going to edit our production, we hope to be done by Monday 13th December. Then all we have left is the ancillary tasks which consists of making a film poster promoting our production. We also have to complete our magazine review of the film and our aim is to have this done by tomorrow.

New Production

"Cut the Confusion" is our new title for our production. The film will play with audience expectations and as a post-modern meta-film our aim is to heighten the tension by exploiting genre conventions. By changing our film we hope to achieve a better overall production still incorporating our previous ideas and footage.

This blog will consist our new paper work including our re-written proposal, treatment, cast and crew lists and our shooting schedule. As well as links to our re-designed storyboards, scripts and shot lists.

Being able to overcome our problems has made our group dynamic stronger. We have all pulled together in order to produce a production which we will all be proud. Without the friendship and support of our tight knit group we wouldn't have been able to resolve the problems that we have had.
